Meet Our Owner

For Tony Brooks, owner of Comfort Keepers® in Oviedo, Florida, Business is Personal.

Tony worked for years as an executive with the Publix supermarkets. That led to an opportunity to serve on the board of director of the Florida Senior Games, where Tony saw first hand the need for information about assistance and programs to help our aging loved ones. Those experiences led Tony and his wife Gina to start their Comfort Keepers business to help seniors, their caregivers, and their family members find the non-medical services they want to maintain an independent lifestyle at home.

Both Tony and Gina are hands-on owners.

“This is really personal to us. This is my business and my family,” Tony said. “We are involved in the business every day.”

So when you call us, you may get one of the owners on the phone. Our personal touch also extends to how our team works with our senior clients. You will never be surprised with visits from someone on our team whom you have not met, either in person or by telephone. Tony or Gina, our client care coordinator, or one of our registered nurses will always call ahead or personally introduce you to your Comfort Keepers.

“We introduce all of our aides. We don’t let a stranger knock on your door,” Tony said.

At Comfort Keepers in Central Florida, we offer you the best quality care.

We train our caregivers to meet our standards for care that exceed the state’s standards. We are accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program, and we hire all of our caregivers as employees and not as contractors from agencies owned by others. This enables us to ensure that our team of 70 Comfort Keepers makes your needs and interests our highest priority.

Like we said, our business is personal.

Comfort Keepers Mission

Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable.  We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family.

The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home senior care (We call them Comfort Keepers®.) are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.

Our Philosophy

Interactive Caregiving™ is based on four primary pillars, which Comfort Keepers leverage to care for, engage, and interact with our clients:

  1. An active senior mind promotes independence, better mental and physical health, happiness, and a longer life.
  2. A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging.
  3. A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally.
  4. A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur.

With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in-home care providers.
